Why study in Canada?
Canada is today one of the most attractive destinations for school immersion programs. Renowned for its safety, the quality of its education system, its modern infrastructure and its cultural openness, it offers a reassuring and caring environment for international students.
The Canadian education system is based on public school districts (school districts) specially organized to welcome foreign students. These institutions accompany students throughout their stay to enable them to reach Canadian teaching standards and fully integrate into local school life.
The specificity of the Canadian program
With IMMERSION, families can choose from a wide range of Canadian school districts willing to welcome international students. This allows for building a personalized project, depending on the student's profile and the family's expectations.
Some destinations are particularly appreciated for:
- ▸Welcoming students with a beginner level of English
- ▸Offering a wide choice of courses, options or sports
- ▸Offering varied living environments: city, suburb, countryside or seaside
A stay in Canada allows you to discover a culture recognized for its multiculturalism, inclusiveness and openness to the world, while progressing in English and validating the school year.
How does the program work?
In the high school immersion program in Canada:
The international student finances their schooling with the school district
Host families are paid, while remaining committed to a cultural exchange approach
This model guarantees a stable, structured and secure framework
The high school is chosen according to the student's criteria, and the host family is selected by our local partners to ensure the best possible compatibility. This environment promotes successful integration and rapid language learning.
Choosing the school
The Canadian program allows the student and their family to choose the school and the region of stay, according to criteria that are important to them:
- ▸Proximity to a large city
- ▸Natural environment (mountain, lakeside, city, etc.)
- ▸Specific academic or sports offering
Places reserved for international students are limited and vary according to the popularity of the institutions. It is therefore recommended to anticipate the project.
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, essential for integration, linguistic progress and personal development.
High School Diploma
In some cases, subject to good academic results and the agreement of the institution, a student enrolled in grade 12 (equivalent to Terminale) can obtain the Canadian High School Diploma.
This diploma can allow direct entry into higher education in Canada and be recognized in other countries, depending on universities and applications.
The host family
Host families are:
- ▸Carefully selected and recruited by local partners
- ▸Located near the high school
- ▸Chosen to ensure human and cultural compatibility
The student shares the daily life of the family, meals and local habits, in a reassuring and structuring environment.
